ABOUT CUB SCOUT PACK 68

On behalf of Lakewood Cub Scout Pack 68, WELCOME!  Here’s a quick summary of our Pack:

Who: In Cub Scouting, boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 5th grade learn about citizenship, character, personal fitness and leadership through fun and engaging activities.  The program is intended to be an adventure for the whole family!

Pack 68 is made up of six Dens; Lions (Kindergarten), Tigers (1st grade), Wolves (2nd grade), Bears (3rd grade), Webelos I (4th grade) and Webelos II (5th grade).  Collectively we are Cub Scouts and are members of the national organization, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).

When: Den Meetings are usually held the first two Tuesdays of each month at 7:00pm and provide an opportunity for Scouts to work with their individual Dens on projects, achievements and skills appropriate for each grade and age level.

Pack Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm and allow the entire Pack to come together for special events, awards, and recognitions.

Family Fun Nights are usually held the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.  These evenings are not based on earning Pack or Den achievements or awards but instead are meant as social events for the entire group.

We encourage families to attend as many meetings and activities as they can.  However we understand that everyone is busy, so no worries if you miss a meeting or activity.  Any involvement in Scouting is a great experience!

Where: Lakewood United Methodist Church located at 15700 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.

What: Highlights of our scouting year include:
Fall & Spring Campouts
Halloween Carnival
Raingutter Regatta
Pool Party at LHS

FUNdraising:  Pack 68 is able to sponsor so amazing events, awards, and programming throughout the year at little to no extra cost to our Scouts because of our fundraising efforts.  Our main fundraiser is the annual District Popcorn sales event in fall.  In addition we also host a spaghetti dinner, a pancake breakfast, and sell cotton candy at the LECPTA Meet the Trucks event in summer.  As an alternative to fundraising, you can make a payment to the Pack in the amount of $125.
